SUMMARY:Littleton Twilight Criterium
DESCRIPTION:The annual Audi Denver Littleton Twilight Criterium bike race\, held the first Saturday in August\, brings family fun to a block party environment in Downtown Littleton. As professional men’s and women’s bike teams speed by\, enjoy the live bands\, beer garden\, kids activities\, cool bars\, and hot restaurants. In 2023\, the race was honored with the Best Event award from the 2023 Governor’s Awards for Downtown Excellence\, presented in April by Downtown Colorado\, Inc. The awards recognize outstanding projects and people in Colorado who demonstrate creativity in the face of challenges\, unlikely and enduring partnerships\, and dedication to the community to further downtown initiatives. \nThe day includes 11 races ranging from a junior’s division in the afternoon to the men’s and women’s pro divisions under the lights in the evening. In total\, more than 500 racers will compete on the NASCAR-style circuit through the streets of Downtown Littleton\, making it the largest road cycling race in Colorado. \nThere will be live music by Journey tribute band Those Crazy Nights\, food trucks\, a beer garden\, a “cruiser” ride through the course open to everyone\, and a dedicated family area. The races run from to 10 p.m.\, and the entire event is free to attend.
