Bold Ideas, Clean Lines, Downtown Roots: Meet Think Tank South

Downtown Littleton is full of places with personality — and Think Tank South has plenty of it.

Since opening in 2015, Think Tank South has become Downtown Littleton’s first and only tattoo shop, and a true original. What began as a single creative space has grown into a shop with 13 licensed artists, thousands of clients, and a reputation built on quality, care, and community.

Ten years in, Think Tank South hasn’t taken shortcuts — and it shows. Every tattoo, from small walk-ins to fully custom pieces, is handled with intention, professionalism, and serious attention to detail. The shop maintains strict health and safety standards, including annual inspections, single-use equipment, and a dedicated cleaning manager to ensure every station is properly reset. All artists are fully licensed and certified, and the team takes pride in doing things the right way — every time.

What truly sets Think Tank South apart, though, is the experience. Artists are hired not just for their technical skill, but for how they treat people — creating an environment that’s welcoming, transparent, and pressure-free.

“A great tattoo matters — but a great experience matters more,” says Abby Bradbury, Manager of Think Tank South. “If people don’t feel respected and comfortable, the art isn’t enough.”

That philosophy shows up in every part of the process. Clients can explore artist portfolios via QR codes in the shop, schedule consultations, or simply stop in to get a feel for the space before committing. There are no phone deposits and no rushed decisions — just trust, collaboration, and clear communication.

Think Tank South is also a major driver of downtown foot traffic, welcoming an estimated 6,000 new clients over the last three years. More than half of their clientele are first responders, including many from Littleton’s police and fire departments. The shop regularly hosts large annual events and seasonal contests and is eager to continue collaborating with fellow downtown businesses and participating in district-wide events like Sparkle & Stroll.

Think Tank South proves that great art, high standards, and genuine community connection can all live under one roof — making Downtown Littleton a more interesting, creative place to be.

Some things are worth making permanent.
