Business Spotlight: Creative Littleton

Creative Littleton | 5730 S. Curtice Street

Have you heard? Creative Littleton is now open!

Need a creative space for a pop-up retail shop, wellness event, or art show? This premiere event space is perfect for parties, meetings, conferences, and other social gathers. We recently caught up with Owner, Amy Fain, to learn more.

Who are you and what is Creative Littleton?

Let’s start with Creative Spaces — my husband and I’s development company that designs properties all over the US. We work directly with builders and clients on the design elements of projects, doing everything from bathroom renovations and home decor to revamping projects and new builds for both residential and commercial properties. We do it all and have always prided ourselves on making people’s dream projects affordable.

Cue Creative Littleton. When my husband and I were initially developing this property, which consisted of a house at 2595 West Alamo and a “warehouse” behind it at 5730 S. Curtice St, we had planned to do pop-up events in the warehouse space, allowing businesses to have a place to display their products.

The house is currently used as a retail location where you can shop for products used in our design projects at amazing prices. These products consist of unique decor, art, lighting, and furniture.

Plans for the warehouse space have since evolved, and while we’ll still host pop-up events for retail and wellness businesses, we’ve also expanded the use of the space and will rent it out for anyone looking for an affordable option for their special event — birthday parties, weddings, networking events, social gatherings, and more.

Why did you choose Downtown Littleton?

My parents were LPS school teachers, so I grew up coming to Downtown Littleton and attended the Western Welcome Week parade as a teenager. My husband is from a small town and loves the small town feel of Littleton, and we both feel like this location is a great place to bring people together.

What is the history of the property?

The location itself has a very long and amazing history, which we’ll capture on a photo wall and hopefully tell its story in a visually creative way.

The house was built in 1905 and the warehouse was built in 1908 by a Blacksmith that worked on Nevada Street who was tired on his long commute. Another Blacksmith family took ownership in the 1930s before the space was transformed into an auto garage in the 1950s. Since then, uses have included a pool hall, diamond/mirror/glass company, cabinet company, and an architectural company. This property has been so many things to so many people over the years and we hope to be able to tell those stories.

What makes Creative Littleton and Creative Spaces unique?

In terms of the space itself, there is a 90 person capacity inside and a 35 person capacity outside. This should give folks an idea of the size of events we’re capable of hosting. The space is also completely ADA compatible, has a caterer’s kitchen, and table and chairs that can be included in rentals.

In addition to that, we really value being a team and giving back to the community in any way that we can.
