Grande Station Scratch Kitchen | 2299 W Main Street
It’s no surprise that Grande Station owners, Eric and Rachel, decided to financially support this year’s holiday tree program by becoming one of the presenting sponsors. Downtown Littleton’s Holiday Tree Program presented by Grande Station is lighting up Main Street this holiday season thanks to amazing community partners like Eric and Rachel.
We recently had a chance to learn more about Eric and Rachel’s business located in Downtown Littleton — Grande Station Scratch Kitchen.
Ownership & Background
Grande Station was actually an operating business for over 6 years before Eric and Rachel bought it from the previous owner in September 2023. Before Grande Station, Eric was one of the founding partners of Angelo’s Taverna and Carboy Winery.
What makes Grande Station unique?
Eric and Rachel really liked that Grande Station was a scratch kitchen – it allows them to consistently use fresh ingredients and create new and innovative recipes. They are proud to have a varied menu, often labeled “American bistro”, but with a lot of elements that pull from different regions around the world. Providing a variety of options on the menu is important to them because the customers like this. Since there aren’t a lot of places to buy steaks in Downtown Littleton, they lean into steaks and purchase their meat locally from fellow downtown neighbor, La Vaca Meat Co. They also work with a local bison vendor.
Why Downtown Littleton?
Eric and Rachel live down the street from Grande Station and love the downtown core of Littleton. They wanted to have their own business and be a part of a community they could give back to. The opportunity to work 6 minutes from where they lived was, and still is, the best of both worlds. They’ve been able to make so many connections and have been welcomed into the community, stating that, “Everything about Downtown Littleton is so welcoming.”
3 Things They Want People to Know?
- They love events! Eric and Rachel love hosting special events at Grande Station and plan nearly everything around Western Welcome Week. Some upcoming events to look forward to include a Frank Sinatra Tribute with an incredible entertainer, Derek Evilsizor, who is a dead-ringer for Frank Sinatra. He’ll come to Grande Station 4 times a year and perform alongside a ticketed dinner that includes a set menu with wine and cocktail pairings. They’ll also continue hosting live music every Thursday.
- They recently received a grant from the City of Littleton for an upcoming remodel, which will begin in January. They’re planning to stay open as long as possible, until they have to begin work inside. Part of the remodel will include the transformation of their patio to a year-round, fully covered patio. Additional upgrades include adding bar seating for 40 people, increasing their capacity by 60% and making Grande Station more customer friendly. - Grande Station is hosting a Holiday Pop-Up Bar: Prancer’s Pub. Last year was the inaugural year of this festive pop-up bar. It will be available beginning November 29th through the holiday season, and feature holiday cocktails and special food items that are separate from the regular menu. The outdoor patio will be decked out with holiday lights and decor, culminating with a dinner celebration on New Year’s Eve.
