Holiday Tree Program

Installation begins week of november 17th

In 2024, the Littleton DDA created a holiday tree program to bring back some of the festive holiday spirit formerly created by the holiday lights on downtown trees that were removed in 2023 due to disease. Working with local landscaping company, Designs by Sundown, the DDA purchased, installed and maintained 34 live evergreen trees strung with lights along Main Street during the holiday season. The program was partially funded by district businesses and community members, and all trees were replanted on the private property of sponsors or in the district.

Last year’s holiday campaign positioned Downtown Littleton as a “Hallmark Holiday”, with the holiday trees being the backdrop for a festive holiday season that helped draw visitors to shop and dine downtown.

Through PR efforts, local influencer partnerships, and social media ads, the holiday campaign reached more than 103,000 people.

34 x 5ft and 6ft trees planted in temporary tree boxes along Main Street between Bega Park and The Melting Pot
Lights strung along trees to create festive holiday atmosphere
Trees will be donated by sponsors to participating LDDA tree donor partners: Arapahoe Community College, the City of Littleton, and Littleton Public Schools
Potential tree species include: Austrian Pine, White Fir, Douglas Fir, and Blue Spruce
Trees placed in early November 2025 and removed in late January 2026 to be transported to their permanent locations
LDDA Tree Program will complement the City’s ongoing holiday efforts including the lighting of Bega Park, snowflakes along Main Street bridge, holiday wrapped Sternberg lights, and more!
