Littleton DDA: Meet the Team

March 18, 2024

Wondering who the Littleton DDA is?

We are your coalition of champions for steering the economic vitality of Downtown Littleton through collaborative efforts that cultivate a vibrant community, and as part of our efforts to bring awareness to the organization and our mission, we want you to know who we are, say hello to us when you see us out in the community, and get involved in our programs and initiatives if you wish to do so.

Our leadership team consists of a ten person Board of Directors and two part time staff members who we’ll introduce you to here.

Jenny Starkey | Executive Director

Jenny is a Colorado native and was raised in Highlands Ranch. Her career spans 20 years working with international nonprofits, tech startups, city government and special districts. Jenny founded Starkey Strategies, a consulting firm that works with special districts across the country specifically focusing on strategy, organizational development, branding, communications and community engagement.

She has worked with special districts in Colorado such as the Cherry Creek North Business Improvement District, Downtown Denver Partnership, Englewood Downtown Development Authority, Colfax/Mayfair Business Improvement District and other districts throughout the United States.

Q: What do you do in your spare time?

A: “I am either chasing a toddler, rafting down a river, golfing along the front range or reading a good book!”

Q: What’s your favorite thing about your work?

A: “Working with small business owners – they are creative, passionate and significantly under resourced – I love figuring out the unique ways I can support them.”

Q: What’s your best memory of Downtown Littleton?

A: “When I was a little girl my aunt (who passed away decades ago) would drive us down Main Street after the holiday lights had turned on. We would ask her to drive through again and again and she would happily circle until we had enough. Everytime I see Littleton during the holidays I think of her.”

Danni Westblade | Administrative Coordinator

Danni is also a Colorado native and lives in Littleton. Danni previously worked in banking and non-profit lending, helping entrepreneurs start and grow their businesses with the help of various funding sources.  She has also been part of the operational side of a small business working behind the scenes to keep things moving smoothly.

Q: What do you do in your spare time?

A: I love to travel with my family, cook, and hike in the mountains.

Q: What’s your favorite thing about your work?

A: I love learning something new every day and connecting with other Littleton residents and business owners to create community

Q: What’s your best memory of Downtown Littleton?

A: When I was in high school, I played in the drum line and our school was invited each year to march in the Western Welcome Week parade.  It was always the first parade of the season and the biggest, best crowds!
